Teen Injured in Accident with Garbage Truck
Earlier this month, a teenager on his way to school was seriously injured when he was involved in an accident with a garbage truck. According to a local news report, the accident occurred in the morning hours when the student was on his way to school.
Evidently, the student rear-ended the garbage truck, which was stopped in the middle of the road and preparing to back down a private driveway. Authorities believe that the student may have been in a hurry and not seen the garbage truck; however, the investigation is still underway. While at this early juncture, authorities seem to believe that the accident was caused by the motorist’s negligence, it has not been determined if the garbage truck’s lights and signals were properly illuminated prior to the accident.
